Customer Service Call. . .ta dah!

I buy just about everything online. . .I mean with 2 toddlers, you can’t pay me to walk into a store and I am sure that there are many that would pay us to stay out. . .

. . .so when my cell rang and displayed “Customer Service” as the caller, I answered. ¬†Especially since it’s Christmas time and our Goldie Blox order hasn’t arrived yet.

As soon as I said Hello, a machine kicked in and screamed in my ear something about the FBI issuing a warning, but not to fear (too much) as a customer service rep would be with momentarily, cue the musack. . .my initial thought was to hang up the phone and chastise myself for being so stupid as to answer my phone – stupid for answering my phone. . .hmmm

I called over my almost 4, told her to pretend momma’s phone was a microphone and asked her to sing Patty Cake as loud as her little lungs could manage. . .she obliged.

I made a cup of tea.

It was delicious.

That customer service rep was still sitting there when my little one got bored – I thanked them for baby sitting and asked that they never call again.

Will they call again?  Hopefully today around 4.

I do have something exciting to show you. . .I’m hardly able to hold still I’m so excited :)

this is what 52 3.5″ churn dash blocks look like:

SQUEEE

and this is what they look like attached to my MATO quilt. . .

and in other exciting news. . .I WON. . .the Polka Dot Bikini pattern from Color Girl Quilts.

I’ve selected my fabrics and made my templates!

thanks for popping by, I’m linking up with WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced. . .

I laughed about how you (and your 4 year old daughter) handled the call. LOVE your little churn dash blocks (they are one of my favorite blocks.) While visiting Freshly Pieced I just found your blog.

Great work on the quilt. Thanks too for the hilarious description of shopping with toddlers and customer service. A good laugh is great for the soul.
