One more quilty project with a March 1st deadline. My little man turns 1 on the first of March and I would like this to be his present. . .

Suess Quilt
When I found this Seuss quilt and thought it would be fun and wanted to make a few changes:
1. add a Minky backing
2. No binding, maybe no batting. . .
3. Tied with perle cotton rather than quilted
Finally sitting down to read the pattern i realized all the panels are appliquéd, I don’t want to have the hard plasticky feel of the glue under each panel. Hmmm, so I’ve been chewing on how to do it.
I can piece the cut panels with the solid fabric and then trim the block to the size specified.

Suess Fabric
But then it occurred to me, if I’m going to go to all the trouble to piece and trim. . .why not just try something different.
If the quilt doesn’t get done till the 10th, I don’t think he’ll notice 😉
Really cute fabric. Can’t wait to see what it looks like when you are done. 🙂
Fingers crossed I make the deadline! 🙂
