Obsession confession. . .

So I have a little obsession confession. . .I love the creativity of Sarah Fielke. It all started when I saw this on one of my favorite blogs – Little Island Quilting

So I grabbed myself a copy of Material Obsession II

And knew I had to try this out, piecing without the basting. . .do I dare. . .I treated myself to this little plastic template in the top left hand corner, I figured I needed all the help I could get πŸ˜‰

And I am proud to show you. . .

Jazz Hands

one down – this was fun!

I’ve also got this in the works:

Craftsy Class with Sarah Fielke

that was the fabric pull above. . .I’ve made a little progress:

all shapes glued to the background

I’ve also noticed, that I’ve moved the shapes closer in as I’ve stitched – seems I was a little too generous with my 1/4″ seam πŸ˜‰

I really love needle turn applique, have you ever tried? Β I highly recommend it :0

I love her work. I had the priviledge of meeting her at Market and got her newest book. Your block looks fabulous. I’ve not done needle turn but yours looks amazing!
